And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2: 8-14

The shepherds found Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus lying in the manger. They shared the good news of His birth, glorifying God for all they had seen and heard. The birth of Jesus was perfect in God’s plan and happened just the way He promised. He was born to be our Savior.

Jesus was sent to save us and provide salvation for those who choose to receive. The One without sin was delivered to a world that is not perfect. Jesus, precious Jesus came to save us. He came to give us abundant life. Jesus meets us where we are and gives us the opportunity to have a living relationship with Him. He is HERE to humble our hearts for His!

♪ Oh come let us adore Him. Oh, come let us adore Him. Oh, come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord! ♪ We must open our hearts for the One who knows how to provide what we need. He is hope for the hopeless and strength for the weak. He places His offering of love in the package of His presence and reminds us to love one another with compassion and care. He gives us perfect PEACE.

“Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Let earth receive her king!” Let us make room for Jesus and celebrate His presence in our lives. Glory to God in the highest!
