For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 NIV
Time with God arms us with everything we need. It humbles weakened hearts for strength. It helps us find hope as we talk to Him and wait to be filled with peace. God knows our every thought. He readies us to lay our burdens down and opens our eyes for Jesus. He guides us where hope is found.
“Time spent with God increases our intimacy with Jesus.” Christ helps us step closer to the One in charge of our days. As we move nearer to Him, He shows how to follow. He opens our hearts to pray. The Bible says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 John 5:14 NIV. What comforting words!
God bandages our wounds of weakness and covers sores of the soul. He has the power to heal and restore us to a place of wholeness. He hears our prayers for mercy and longs for us to remember HE IS in control.
Prayer brings us back where we belong, when we need to be cradled in calm. It empowers us to be still and welcome the love of Jesus. It turns anxious thoughts into words of thanksgiving and reminds us God knows our hearts.
We can pray wherever we are and whenever we want because God always listens! As we speak words of truth, He helps us remember we are NOT alone. We must strip away what holds us back from trusting the power of His greatness and BELIEVE He will take care of us as we put out trust in Him and remain faithful.
Take time to pray. It will strengthen relationships with God and welcome needed strength. It will hold us together by the power of His love and tether us to Jesus. Everyone will benefit from time spent with God. Every single moment to offer our love, will lead us to a beautiful prayer of PRAISE.
Dear God, Thank you for the power of Your love. Open the eyes of our hearts to clearly see the depth of Your holiness, so we will recognize Your blessings and experience how You take care of us. You know our needs even before we speak. Help us turn from our selfish ways and honor You with what You deserve. In Jesus’ name we pray for the healing of our hearts and welcome the gift of peace. Thank you for arming us with everything we need when we pray. Thank you for knowing our hearts. Amen
