Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8

As we sit in the comfort of our homes, it’s sad to consider those who have been forced to flee their own. As war continues to escalate in Ukraine, we feel the sadness of pain for those who are suffering.

We watch videos of devastating news but turn our eyes away. But we mustn’t turn away from those need to know they’re not forgotten. We mustn’t forget to open our hearts with compassion and PRAY.

God humbles us to recognize the needs of others. He opens our eyes for Jesus and arms us with everything we need to share the kindness of His love. We should never be hardened to the heartache of others. God WILL use us in mighty ways when we commit to PRAY.

How can we help those who are hurting?

- PRAY for protection for the MANY who desperately need God’s direction.

-PRAY for the MANY who are fleeing their country; ask for God’s mercy and grace.

-Pray for those who NEED to find refuge in a nation that will offer a Christlike welcome. And ask for continued strength.

-Pray for God to help us surrender the selfish side of want and faithfully commit to recognizing the heart of others.

-Pray with priority for PEACE.

If we pray before we rise each day and believe in the promises of God, we WILL help those in need. God will hear our prayers for His children. He is HERE! He has the power to save.

“In the midst of the darkness, may it be that the light of Christ brings hope and help through His people, His Word, and His mercy shown to a war-torn region.”

Dear God, help us remember to consider the needs of others and faithfully PRAY. As we turn from our selfish ways, restore our souls with desire to share Your goodness and LOVE. Help us shine the light of Jesus for those who walk in darkness, cold and afraid. Please humble our hearts to remember YOU hear our prayers, even when we’re far away from those who desperately need them. Thank you, Lord. Amen
