God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NIV

God arms us with everything we need to find STRENGTH. When we wake in the sadness of grief, He holds us together as we pray for comfort and peace. The devastating events in Texas break our hearts for those affected by horrific acts of violence. Little children and teachers should never have to deal with this type of trauma or witness the tragic loss of lives.

When we're sad in despair, God holds us together. He carries us when we need to be held. He helps us remember the love of His faithfulness when we're weary and broken. His heart breaks when we need to be reminded He did not create evil.

“There is potential for evil to enter the world, but there is also potential for goodness and love.” Suffering is NOT good, but it brings us closer to the One who knows our pain. God took the death of Jesus on the cross and ‘’opened the heavens to all who follow Him.”

The day is coming when suffering will stop and GOD will JUDGE all evil. He promises He will compensate us with eternal reward when we follow His instructions. The Bible says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4: 7

It’s hard to remember we’re not alone in suffering, when we stand in the midst of pain. But there’s power in the name of Jesus when we pray. When we’re wounded by what we feel, God knows how to heal. He bandages sores of the soul. He takes the pain of our own and helps us learn find courage to TRUST.

We must TRUST Him in ALL circumstances and continue to pray for those who are suffering. Jesus will provide PEACE to endure. We will never be alone when our hearts are broken and we need to find help from God. One nation under GOD is what we need to hold us together every day of our lives and heal what is broken.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Dear God, thank you for Your presence and peace that passes all understanding. When tragedy affects the heart of Your children, help them draw closer to YOU. You hear the cries of our sadness and remind us what needs to be done to heal our nation. Comfort those who have experienced the violence of hatred and loss. Give us strength to endure and LOVE one another through difficult days of despair. Hear our prayers for healing as we continue to TRUST in You and find strength in the arms of Your holiness. Thank you for reminding us who IS handling our days as we cling to faith when sorrow comes. Amen
