I will give thanks to you with all my heart, O Lord my God. I will honor you forever because your mercy toward me is great. Psalm 86: 12-13

Sometimes we forget GOD is in the midst of every part of our lives. He handles our days and opens our eyes for His greatness. God hears our prayers of PRAISE and is honored when we share our devotion to Him. He helps us focus on the joy of Christ.

We need to renew our hearts with thanksgiving and make an effort to delight in what is GOOD. Jesus helps us develop an attitude of gratitude and do what we should to embrace a spirit of content.

Sometimes, we forget we were shaped by our Creator to TRUST in His timing and experience HOW He guides and provides. We lost sight of where we’re going and allow the living of life to cause us to forget how to follow Christ.

God wants us to live with an appreciation of HOW He blesses our lives. We have many reasons to be grateful. There will be days when it will be difficult to welcome prayers of praise and moments when we will need to TRUST in His mercy, grace and forgiveness. 1 Thessalonians 5: 18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

The future is unclear, but God’s love for us is not. If we focus on reasons to be grateful, God will restore our souls and diminish the worry of wonder. He will nurture us with thanksgiving and help us cope with a harvest of HOPE.

God will fill us with everything we NEED, so we will recognize the power of His STRENGTH and treasure what He places in our hearts. Gratitude will welcome PEACE if we allow Him to fill us full of everything we need to RECEIVE His timely rewards.

Dear God, thank you for the love of a grateful heart. Forgive us when we forget to begin our prayers with PRAISE. Help us be mindful of the many ways YOU bless us and those we love. We will find PEACE in Your presence as we recognize why we need YOU and humble our hearts to BELIEVE You are deserving of so much more than mere morsels of appreciation. May we always find reasons to say “thank you” and never forget the truest content comes from a place of gratitude. Thank you, Lord for helping us remember to be thankful. Amen
