"Take courage and be stouthearted, all you who hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24

In times of challenge, we need to be reminded God is with us. He takes care of our needs and holds us in the promise of His love. He reminds us of His presence and helps us understand HE has a purpose for our days.

As Christmas approaches, we think of Mary. She faithfully trusted God had a plan for her life. He chose her to carry His Son, believing she was the best mother for Jesus. She must have been frightened and weary as He revealed His will and prepared her to travel. But she faithfully responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May it be as you have said.” Luke 1:38

God prepares us to serve Him. He opens hearts to recognize His guiding. He leads us where HOPE is found and moves us when we have been readied to go. He fills us with purpose and offers HOPE from the presence of His PEACE. He helps us recognize when we’re heading in the right direction.

HOPE is something we need! It's defined as "the desire and search for a good future". It would have been easy for Mary to reject the will of God, but she was FAITHFUL to believe He would provide safe travels. Mary journeyed to Bethlehem, trusting the One who sent her.

God longs for us to acknowledge His presence as we journey with Him. He patiently prepares us to LOVE AND TRUST. He asks us to do great things and longs for us to TRUST His promises. He gives strength to fulfill His will for our days and provides opportunities for us to recognize why we are blessed.

As we embrace this season of HOPE we must remember God took care of Mary and He will take care of us. He will help us discover HOPE as we journey with Him and provide what we need to gratefully remember He is God! He IS a goof, good Father. He knows where we will arrive.

Dear God, Thank you for this season of love. Thank you for Jesus and the precious mother who fulfilled Your will. Help us remember who’s in charge of ALL things. Open our hearts and prepare us for what’s to come, as we faithfully learn to TRUST. You are the source of our strength; the same no matter what, even when our circumstances. Thank you, Lord! Thank you. We're so grateful to be guided by You EVERY day of our lives. Amen
