“Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go make the tomb as secure as you know how.” So, they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard. Matthew 27:65-66

After Jesus died, His disciples hid in fear and contemplated what had happened. The loss of Christ crippled their thoughts as they waited with grief and despair, unsure of what to do without Him.

Often our lives are put on hold when fear tries to convince us HOPE is lost. But God handles anxious thoughts as we TRUST in Him, surrender doubt and welcome the power of His STRENGTH. He longs for us to BELIEVE He will provide for our needs. He reminds us to patiently WAIT and remember His timing is not our own.

Because of what Jesus has done, we can prepare our hearts for a better understanding of WHY He didn’t stay in the tomb. As we WAIT to celebrate the resurrection, God provides beautiful ways to remind us His LOVE bears ALL things. He longs for us to TRUST in His power to save and BELIEVE in His promises.

It’s never too late to step in FAITH and gratefully follow Christ! The JOY of the Lord is our strength! May we walk in truth, allow Him to carry our burdens and embrace a willing desire to love Him with ALL of our hearts! Let’s welcome our risen Lord with adoration, appreciation and be READY to discover what will happen when we focus on what is GOOD.

God is on the move, dear friends! Let’s be patient in the WAIT, allow Him to nurture our FAITH and never forget we are valued and loved. As we remain tethered to Jesus, He will grow our hearts with gratitude as we journey with Him and walk closer to the goodness of God.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11: 25-26 NIV

Dear God, thank you for the lessons we learn when we need to be patient and WAIT. Fill us with strength as we recognize why we need You. Thank you for calling us worthy, even though we are not deserving of what Jesus has done. Thank you for mercy and grace. It covers us in amazing ways and we are thankful. We trust You, Lord. Prepare us to welcome Jesus with humbled hearts of JOY as we celebrate Easter with HOPE in our hearts and worship You with the fullness of a grateful heart! Amen
